Originally from Poland, the Kuczewski family traveled to the United States in 1873. They spoke little to no English, but they were able to find a Polish community in Pennsylvania. There they would reside for several decades. As time went on, most families began to intermingle with some of the local Americans, but the Kuczewskis remained true to their Polish heritage, by not marrying outside the Polish community.
But then, Leonard Stanislaw Kuczewski met Joanne Motes. Joanne was from a small hick town in Northeast Florida; she spoke no Polish, and had no Polish roots. This did not stop Leonard, for he knew that Joanne was right for him. Leonard and Joanne got married on August 12, 1958.
Just a few short years later, they were living in El Centro, California with two children of their own: Tony and Krista. They remained in El Centro for twenty years, when they decided to move back to Joanne's hometown. Tony and his wife, Sherri, were living in a neighboring town, as well as Krista.
Joanne was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1982, but it was in a very aggresive stage. The doctors were unable to stop the spread, but they were able to slow it down some. Meanwhile, Sherri was pregnant with her first, T.J. He arived on April 15, 1987. Two years later, Sherri had her second child, Chris; but this was also the year that the cancer claimed Joanne's life.
Krista found her soul mate, Mark London, and was wed to him in 1995. They have been blessed with two daughters: Erica, born in 1998 and Michelle, born in 2000. Tony and Sherri also had two additions to their family: Sissy and AJ, in 1998. Leonard remained single for several years, that is, until he met Laura Deitz. They were married on August 23, 2003. They are currently in a nice little town in South Carolina.
Robin and Sharl Tilton, Sherri's sister and aunt, have been grafted into the Kuczewski family.
We are all passionate about our pooches-just ask us. We have millions of pictures of each "sibling."
